The Australian Hotels Association (South Australian Branch) was established in 1871 and is an integral part of SA’s hospitality and tourism industry. The Association represents and protects the commercial interests of hoteliers throughout South Australia.

The Association consists of a qualified team of experts who are able to provide advice on a range of topics, including legislative changes, licensing, gaming, industrial relations, insurance, responsible gambling and community liaison. Its mission is to encourage, foster and promote the pursuit of excellence in service, facilities and management practices among members for the benefit of the industry and the community of SA.

 

GDS Movement

GLOBAL DESTINATION SUSTAINABILITY MOVEMENT SA (GDSM)
The Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDSM) works with destinations to co-create their tourism and events strategies, benchmark and improve their sustainability performance, and transforms value chains in order to catalyse regeneration. The GDS-Index ranks global destinations based on their sustainability performance in the tourism and events industry. From 2024, Adelaide will be a member of the GDS movement,

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES SA
Located on Melbourne Street, North Adelaide RMHC SA is a short walk to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. RMHC SA offers a ‘home away from home’ by providing essential free accommodation for families with children dealing with illnesses and injuries that are from regional and rural areas of South Australia & Northern Territory. Often when faced with the devastating news that their child is unwell, families need to make an immediate decision as to where they’re going to stay in order to be close by to the hospital, which can be extremely stressful from a financial perspective. RMHC SA provides necessary free, comfortable, and safe accommodation for families. RMHC SA also provides a learning program so children are not impacted by being away from school. In 2023 RMHC SA supported 335 families, who stayed in the House for a total of 6,641 nights.

TiCSA - Tourism Industry Council of South Australia
TiCSA is a not-for-profit organisation with over 1000 members. Established in 2009, TiCSA is the peak body for South Australia’s tourism industry and has two primary objectives – advocacy and business development. Members have access to networking events, training workshops and business development programs.
As the voice of tourism, we advocate on behalf of our members to create a unified voice on the issues and opportunities facing the industry.

Members also receive the latest industry news and connections to other tourism professionals.
